By Car: - address for SatNav - Sandhills, Saunton, Devon, EX33 1LG
Saunton is 46 miles from Jct 27 of the M5. Take the A361 to Barnstaple and continue taking signs to Barnstaple. As you reach the roundabout before Barnstaple, turn left on the A361 following signs to Ilfracombe and Braunton. After 43 miles, in the centre of Braunton there is a crossroad with traffic lights - turn left here onto Caen Street, on the B3231. This leads to Saunton Road and Sandhills is just under 3 miles further.
After 2 miles the road inclines up to the Saunton Ridge overlooking the sea and dunes. Pass the left turnoff to Saunton beach itself and Sandhills is 50m further on the left.
If you reach the hotel you've gone too far (Sandhills is 3 houses before the large white art deco building that is Saunton Sands Hotel).

By Train: either to Barnstaple or Tiverton Parkway
Barnstaple is the nearest train station, 8 miles away, a 15 minute taxi or a direct bus that stops 50m from Sandhills (Saunton beach stop). The bus from Barnstaple is 21A, runs hourly (to meet each train) bus timetable details here
We often use the Tiverton Parkway station that has fast 2 hr connections from London, Sandhills is then a 1hr taxi ride away. We recommend Steve at Saunton taxis.
